From our discovery process for on-boarding new clients to our weekly standing meetings for keeping projects on track, we ensure that your project will not only be successful, it will also be a fun and collaborative experience for you and your team.
Whether you call us or we contact you, our first scheduled phone call will usually last between 20 and 30 minutes. During this call we’ll get a high level overview of your business, what you want to accomplish with your project, and we’ll fill you in on our discovery process and how we work. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule our first discovery meeting.
The Discovery Process
Here’s the problem with most web projects, there’s typically an acute sense of urgency in the sales process coming from both sides. You as the client want your project up and running quickly and the web design company wants to send off a proposal and get started quickly. All too often, the result is a rushed project with multiple delays, unforeseen requirements, and a solution that does nothing for the business. Enter the discovery process.
Our discovery process involves a series of meetings in which we will take the time to understand your business; your clients and customers; your market and competition; and your strategies and tactics for growth. Each meeting will have an objective and an agenda that we will provide for you ahead of time.
The result of this process is a well planned solution and a project that begins and ends with your specific goals in mind. By putting time and energy into the planning and strategy stage, we ensure your project will be a success. Even if you don’t hire us, make sure the company you do hire has a process like this in place and that they can speak intelligently about it.
At the end of the discovery process we will present and discuss our solution and sign a proposal/contract. Now the project begins!
Our project begins with a kickoff meeting which usually lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours. Everyone involved in the project will meet and discuss objectives, responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables for the project. We’ll setup and brief you on project management tools, schedule interviews with key stakeholders, put milestones on the calendar, and schedule our weekly standing meetings. The project has begun.
Weekly Standing Meetings
Throughout the project we will host a meeting each week to check up on the status of the project and ensure everyone involved is up to speed. The weekly standing meeting typically lasts anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. During this meeting we’ll go over victories and achievements; issues and shortcomings; priorities for the coming week; as well as metrics and overall progress of the project.
The weekly standing meeting helps to keep the project on track and delivered on time. Once the project is complete we move on to project delivery and training.
Project Delivery & Training
The end of your project will not be the end of our relationship, but rather just the beginning. Before final sign off and project completion we’ll train you and your team to use your new website, analytics reporting, email marketing system, ecommerce system, and any other technology used in your project. In addition, we will provide you with a video training library and website user manual for your reference.
Once your project is complete we want you to be as hands on (or off) with your website and marketing systems as you choose to be. If you prefer, you can use your video training library and user manuals to manage the systems on your own. On the other hand, if you prefer to let us handle it for you, we’d be happy to. And of course, if you ever need help, we’re always just a phone call away.
If we set you up with a monthly online marketing package to drive traffic to your website, we’ll send you a monthly report detailing what’s been accomplished and what changes need to be made. Depending on the status of your campaign, we may ask to schedule a quick meeting to go over the details. We’ll continually optimize your campaign to ensure improved performance month after month.
Quarterly Follow Up
We love to hear success stories so, whether or not you’re signed up for a monthly plan, we’ll check up on you every few months to see how things are coming along with your marketing efforts.
